HIV Reagent

Adaltis' long-standing expertise in infectious diseases has translated into quality reagents and continuous innovation that laboratories around the world have relied on for years. In the HIV field, Adaltis is particularly proud of its expertise and is pleased to introduce these current and forthcoming assay offers:

/  DETECT-HIVTM (v. 4)  NEW!

DETECT-HIVTM (v.4) is a fourth generation microplate EIA using a mixture of purified synthetic peptides and recombinant proteins representing immunodominant domains of the env proteins of HIV-1 and HIV-2 and monoclonal antibodies directed against the HIV-1 p24 antigen.

DETECT-HIVTM (v.4) provides the simultaneous detection of all classes of immunoglobulins (Ig) against all known subtypes of HIV-1 and HIV-2, as well as the direct detection of the p24 antigen.

Independent studies (BioMARIC N.V. and Institute for Tropical Medicine - Belgium), showed a sensitivity of 100% with more than 500 HIV-positive specimens, including all the known subtypes of HIV-1 as well as more than 100 HIV-2 specimens. DETECT-HIVTM (v.4) also showed a performance superior or equal to any other detection kit when tested with 20 seroconversion panels, allowing in many cases the earliest detection of the HIV infection. The good specificity of 99,52% observed on 5006 specimens tested has now been successfully improved to more than 99,80%, and our customers can now take advantage of this cutting edge result.

Adaltis is now proud to announce that the development phase of DETECT-HIVTM (v.4) is successfully completed and its production has started.

/  DETECT-HIVTM (v. 2)

It is a third generation microplate EIA using highly purified synthetic peptide antigens representing immunodominant domains of the env proteins of HIV-1 and HIV-2. The main advantages of this new version of DETECT-HIV are the simultaneous detection of all classes of immunoglobulins (Ig) against HIV-1/2, the utilization of a ready-to-use TMB substrate, the utilization of highly purified synthetic peptides and the automation capabilities. Several clinical trials confirmed the high sensitivity and specificity of DETECT-HIV (v. 2), particularly for early detection of seroconverters.

/  DETECT-HTLVTM

It is a microplate EIA using highly purified synthetic peptide antigens representing immunodominant domains of the env proteins of HTLV-I and HTLV-II. The main advantages of this kit are the detection of IgG against the two types of HTLV (I and II), the utilization of highly purified synthetic peptides and the automation capabilities.
