Allergen Systems
Overview
At the end of the 80s Adaltis began its research and development
in the allergy tests field and in 1994 launched on the market the
ALLERgen kit line, ELISA tests for total and specific IgE aimed
to satisfy the growing needs for automation in the allergy market.
Based on the knowledge and expertise achieved by decades of EIA
and ELISA kit development, Adaltis was one of the first companies
able to provide all ready-to-use liquid reagents (including biotin-allergen
conjugates and the stabilized mixture of substrate-chromogen), joined
to a common microplate for the simultaneous determination of both
total and specific IgE. The test offers outstanding analytical performance,
thanks to the capture method, and allows a high throughput (about
100 analyses per hour).
The experience gained in several years by Adaltis, worldwide leader
in the microplate instruments and chosen by thousands of customers
in over 60 countries, made possible to apply ALLERgen kits on ALLERTECH,
a fully automatic instrument specific for medium/large laboratories.
ALLERTECH, the first instrument on the market equipped with these
features, makes itself useful for all kinds of ELISA microplate
tests, simply by changing the carrousel and using a distinct software
menu, thus eliminating the need of an allergy-dedicated instrument.
Thanks to a product list of more then 300 allergens and a complete
set of instruments - 2,3 or 4 microplates – Adaltis answers
the different demands required by public and private laboratories.
